Ishan S Wanniarachchi
Wanniarachchige Ishan Shanaka Gunarathna (born 15 September 1994; Sinhala: ඉෂාන් එස් වන්නිආරච්චි), popularly known as Ishan S. Wanniarachchi, is a Sri Lankan actor, singer, and YouTuber. He is best known for his appearances in Sri Lankan television dramas and for releasing original music and cover songs on digital platforms.
Early life and education
Ishan S. Wanniarachchi was born on 15 September 1994 in Matara, Sri Lanka. He completed his primary and secondary education at Matara Central College, where he studied from 2000 to 2013 and sat for the G.C.E. Ordinary Level and Advanced Level examinations.
He later pursued technical and language education, including:
- AutoCAD 2D and 3D Modeling at the Ceylon German Technical Training Institute (MTTC Courses), Moratuwa.
- Japanese Language Studies at Nippon Academy, Maebashi, Gunma, Japan.
Family
He is the son of Lakshman Gunarathna and Kanthi Vidanagamage, and has one sister, Piyumi Shanika.
Career
Ishan S. Wanniarachchi began his career as a content creator and performer, producing a variety of music and acting projects on online platforms, particularly YouTube. He has appeared in several Sri Lankan television dramas broadcast on major channels such as ITN, Hiru TV, TV Derana, Swarnavahini, and Sirasa TV.
