Iris Ichishita

Iris Ichishita is an American film producer, actress, writer, and director. She is a motion picture executive and producer at Hallmark's Feeln, a video on-demand subscription service. Ichishita also owned and operated Nothing New Productions, an independent production services company.

Early life and education

Iris Ichishita was born in Los Angeles. She received her Bachelor's (BA) degree in English from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California. In 2008, Ichishita received her Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree from the University of Southern California Peter Stark Producing Program.

Career

After graduating from Westmont, Ichishita became a freelance production assistant and actress. She then produced short narrative and documentary films such as Homeless Karaoke. After graduate school, Ichishita worked on new media content for Spike.com and Paramount Digital, including production managing and production coordinating the 2010 THE LXD: The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers. She has produced films such as True Love and a segment of James Gunn's ''Super.

Ichishita sees her faith as an "integral" part of her life and aspects of her beliefs can been seen in films such as Heavenly Cent. Ichishita is primarily an independent film producer, using "affordable technology" to capture diverse perspectives.

Ichishita has been a member of the New Media Council for the Producers Guild of America since 2010. She is also the executive producer and head of original entertainment for Feeln, formerly known as SpiritClips, the Hallmark video streaming subscription service. Ichishita oversees the production, development, and programming aspects of Feeln.
