IRC-Hispano
IRC-Hispano is the largest Spanish language IRC network and the 17th in the world1.
In Spain, more than 90% of the people that chat online use IRC-Hispano2. The network has sometimes surpassed the 750,000 daily users and at its peak the network has recorded more than 45,126 users simultaneously3. Today, the number of monthly users is around 15% the total average number of Internet Users in Spain (15 millions, year 2007). The peak number of users in a single day raises up to 11.000 users.
In the recent days they changed from IRC network to a Web 2.0 Social Network, a strategic change to reposionate in the Internet world.
