INVNT (company)

InVNT is an American multinational brand experience, live events, and marketing agency launched in 2008. It is a subsidiary of the holding company INVNT Group. It is headquartered in New York City. The company’s current CEO is Kristina McCoobery.

History

Scott Cullather and Kristina McCoobery founded INVNT in 2008.

In 2011, Jerry Deeney (Chief Client Officer) joined INVNT.

Time Inc. acquired INVNT in 2015, and it was a subsidiary of Time Inc.. In 2017, Cullather and McCoobery reached a deal to purchase the company, making it an independent agency again. The terms of the deal were undisclosed. INVNT established offices in Sydney, Australia in 2017, with Laura Roberts named Managing Director of the APAC Region. In 2019, INVNT opened its second office in Singapore.

In affiliation with Woodstock, INVNT was hired to organize the Bethel Woods Music and Culture Festival in 2018. In the same year, INVNT helped produce the Xerocon Brisbane Conference.

INVNT designed and produced the Unpacked 2019 launch event for the Samsung Galaxy Note10. In the same year, INVNT also produced the 10th anniversary edition of TEDXSydney. INVNT also named Adam Harriden, who was previously at Jack Morton, its Executive Creative Director in 2019. The company also collaborated with luxury car brand Genesis on a launch event at Hudson Yards, for its Mint Concept electric car in 2019.

In 2019, Forbes released Challenge Everything: The Battle Cry That Blew Sh*t Up And INVNTd Live Brand Storytelling, a book on the story of INVNT, by Scott Cullather and Kristina McCoobery.

INVNT became a subsidiary of INVNT Group when the holding company was founded in 2020. Kristina McCoobery was appointed CEO of the subsidiary, and COO of INVNT Group.

At the first SXSW Sydney in October 2023, INVNT curated and hosted the event’s Discovery Stage at the ICC Sydney.

INVNT also partnered with General Motors on launch events for the Chevrolet Silverado and the GMC Sierra. It also collaborates with the Society for Human Research Management to design and produce the annual SHRM Conference.

INVNT’s has also worked with Microsoft, Facebook, Pfizer, Samsung, PepsiCo, ESPN, Subway, and Xero.
