IntruGuard is a leading supplier of Network Behavior Analysis (NBA) Systems for Service Providers and Enterprise Data Centers. These NBA systems provide granular real time network traffic visibility and provide automatic protection against targeted Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks. These systems are vital in network security infrastructure of any service provider or enterprise data center network to ensure smooth network operation, full legitimate use of bandwidth and improve network utilization.
Corporate history
IntruGuard was founded in 2003 by Ashok Jain and Hemant Jain. Both had earlier worked together in Internet Devices which was acquired by Alcatel in 1999 for USD 180 Million. See here. Ashok was also co-founder for NexGen (acquired by AMD), Jareva (acquired by Veritas).
Ashok Jain is the co-founder and CEO. Hemant Jain is the co-founder and CTO.

IG200
IG200 is IntruGuard's entry level Network Behavior Analysis (NBA) System for Enterprise Data Centers and Service Providers. It supports 100 Mbit/s full duplex line-rate. To protect the customer's investment, through a license upgrade, this appliance can be field-upgraded to support up to 2000 Mbit/s and 8 VIDs.
IG2000
IG2000 is IntruGuard's premium NBA system for Enterprise Data Centers and Service Providers. It supports 1000 Mbit/s full duplex line-rate.

Compartmentalization of Network By Business
The products allow you to segment your network into logical pipes according to businesses. An attack on one pipe does not affect the others. This segmentation is done by IP address/mask, VLAN tags or MAC addresses.
DDoS Mitigation in the Data Center
IntruGuard's products co-exist with DDoS mitigation available in cloud and Intrusion Prevention available in the subsequent network. They clean the residual DDoS which is difficult to clean in network clouds and cannot be cleaned by IPS appliances or firewalls.
