The International ICT Council (IICTC) is a non-profit organization striving for equal opportunities of ICT education. In this context, ICT is Information and Communication Technologies. Equal opportunities of ICT education include actions to bridge Digital Divide, balancing inequality in receiving education by women and men, poor and rich, etc.

There are several important steps to be taken in order to achieve the mission:

Open ICT training curriculum development

The Council encourages community involvement in building an open curriculum of ICT training. Volunteers can Contribute towards curriculum development via the online platform. The established curriculum form the standard base for the International ICT Council Certification Program.

International Information and Communication Technology Council Certification Program

Based on the open curriculum standard established, the Council has been building a serious of vendor-neutral certification program with the aim of skill enhancement. It is believed that the "Vendor Neutral" approach best for acquiring skills, and Providing a freedom of choices and knowledge in enabling people to choose their best fitted technology tools at their practical environment. There is an advocate of Open Source technology as believed platform to delivering the goal.

Open training content project

The availability of systematically organized training material is crucial for equal opportunity. Therefore, the Council utilize the wiki technology in building a platform for communities to contribute knowledge content towards the Open Curriculum Standard, and the Certification Program. It is an important step to achieving skill transfer. To align with the objective, it is suggested to give priority in utilizing Open Source tools in building up the training content.

Geographic pricing tactics

To make the Certification financially feasible to both the Council and candidates desired to get the certifications, the Tactics lays a guideline to make it affordable.
