Interior Semiotics

Interior Semiotics was a 2010 performance piece by artist Natacha Stolz (also known as Gabbi Colette) at FOREVER(21), an apartment gallery event in West Town, Chicago.

The performance was videotaped and uploaded to YouTube and met with negative but popular reception with over 1.75 million views.

Performance

In the eight minute piece, the performer opened and poured a can of SpaghettiOs into a pan and added water, while she recited a nihilistic poem. This was followed by her rubbing the SpaghettiOs on her shirt while reciting the poem in reverse, [...] open her leggings and inserting her Spaghettio-covered fingers into her vagina. The performance was ended with her urinating into the empty can of SpaghettiOs and taking off her shirt to wipe the remains of her performance.
