Indogermanisches Wörterbuch

The Indogermanisches Wörterbuch ("The Indo-European Dictionary") is an updated reworking of the Indogermanisches Etymologisches Wörterbuch of Julius Pokorny (1927-32) and the Grundriß der vergleichenden Grammatik der indogermanischen Sprachen of Karl Brugmann and Berthold Delbrück by the German comparative linguist Gerhard Köbler, that was first published in 2000. This work aim to provide an overview of the lexical and grammatical knowledge accumulated until the beginning of 21th century, but with only stray comments on the structure of individual forms. The newer work is now much more up-to-date, because it doesn't ignore the laryngeal theory, and because it includes both Tocharian and Anatolian material. There exists no more modern and updated etymological dictionary of the Indo-European languages, so it is still of interest to scholars.
