ITEC is an advocacy group working to identify and eliminate racial and religious discrimination, reduce inequality and inequality of opportunity, protect human rights and build Good Relations, while ensuring that everyone is given a fair chance to participate in society.

The i-Tec Vision: A society built on fairness and respect. People confident in all aspects of their diversity.

The i-Tec Mission: Independently advocate for equality and human rights in Trinidad & Tobago. The Council aims to reduce inequality, eliminate discrimination, strengthen good relations between people, and promote and protect human rights.

The Council uses influence and the law to ensure that equality of treatment remains at the top of agendas for government and employers, media and society. ITEC plans to campaign for social change and justice. Developing an evidence-based understanding of the causes and effects of inequality for people across Trinidad and Tobago, the Council hopes to be a voice for reform.
