Ideals Solutions Group (stylized as Ideals; formerly iDeals Solutions Group) is a Ukrainian-founded SaaS company that provides secure collaboration platforms for mergers and acquisitions professionals, investment bankers, and corporate development teams. The company is best known for its flagship product, the Ideals Virtual Data Room (VDR), and operates globally with headquarters in Lucerne, Switzerland.
History
In 2007, the founders identified inefficiencies in traditional virtual data rooms, leading to the creation of the company in 2008 as iDeals Solutions Group in Ukraine.
In 2019, the company launched the M&A Community as its team expanded to 175 employees across 10 countries.
From 2020, Ideals was recognized as a G2 Market Leader for five consecutive years, receiving more than 15 G2 Market Leader awards overall.
During the summer of 2024, Ideals introduced a redesigned platform UI, scaled field sales teams in the United States and the United Kingdom, acquired the Indian VDR provider EthosData, and relaunched its Ideals Board product.
In November 2024, the company underwent a rebrand from iDeals to Ideals.
By spring 2025, Ideals expanded its European operations, establishing new field sales teams in Germany, France, and other territories to better serve investment banking clients, such as Eurallia Finance, MARK Capital, Ignis, Delpharm, etc.
Operations
Ideals develops virtual data room (VDR) and board management software used in M&A, fundraising, IPOs, debt financing, and other confidential transactions. Its VDR offers secure document sharing, AI-driven tools for redaction, translation, and summarization, and compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and HIPAA standards.
