Ideacity

ideacity is an annual conference created and produced by Canadian media icon Moses Znaimer, and has been recognized as Canada's premier "meeting of the minds." Over the course of three days in June, ideacity presents a broad and eclectic array of some of the brightest minds on the planet -- groundbreaking scientists, visionary entrepreneurs, scholars, activists and agitators. Over the years, ideacity speakers have included celebrities such as Deepak Chopra, Margaret Atwood, Robert Kennedy, Jr., and Alan Alda, but the conference also welcomes lesser known people who go on to become superstars, such as Jack Andraka, who at 15 discovered a test for pancreatic cancer; professor and anti-political correctness activist Jordan Peterson; and lung transplant pioneer Dr. Shaf Keshavjee.

The ideacity conference is video'd and webcast in real time by Zoomer Media, and all presentations can be viewed year-round on the ideacity website and YouTube channel, generating over 5 million minutes of viewing in the past year. ideacity talks are also presented as TV programs on Zoomer Media stations Vision and One.

ideacity attendees are a creative, dynamic and highly engaged group. 75% are owners of their own businesses, or executives and senior managers within organizations. According to an audience survey conducted after the 2017 conference, 55% have household incomes of over $100,000 and 84% have undergraduate or graduate degrees.

A key feature of the ideacity conference is the ability to engage the speakers and the other attendees. Unlike other conferences that make it difficult to access the speakers (or charge a higher fee for the privilege), the ideacity presenters mix and mingle freely with the attendees at the numerous schmooze breaks, plus the legendary opening and closing night parties.

ideacity 2018 will take place on June 20, 21 and 22 at Koerner Hall, Toronto.
