ICFAI University Tripura

ICFAI University Tripura'' The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University, Tripura was established under the provisions of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University, Tripura Act 2004 enacted by Legislative Assembly of Tripura State and notified vide Notification No F.2 (529)- DHE/UDCA/2003, dt. 15.06.2004 of Government of Tripura with vision of "Meritum Ethicus", implying Merit with Ethics. The University is sponsored by the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (Icfai), a non-profit educational society established in 1984 under the Andhra Pradesh (Telangana Area) Public Societies Registration Act, 1350 F (Act No.1 of 1350F), with the objective of imparting training in finance and management to students, working executives and professionals in India. The University is committed to develop leaders capable of making decisions in a complex global environment and who are dedicated to serve their companies, society and humanity. University’s vision of education is based on innovative learning methodologies, constant improvement, cultivation of practical skills and an unwavering commitment to academic quality. The University believes that education must relate to the real world environment and be able to contribute to and benefit from it. Mission of the University is "Learning for Leadership" i.e. to create a cadre of professional men and women who have been imparted specialized skills, who have learnt to consider problems from a broad perspective and who have acquired a heightened sense of moral and social responsibility that their future positions of leadership demand of them. The University has been approved by the University Grants Commission, under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. The Distance Education Council (DEC) has approved the programs of the ICFAI University, Tripura. Academic Structure

The University started in 2004 with the appoint of its first Vice Chancellor Prof Dr J Mahender Reddy. In starting of the university there was only one Faculty i.e. Faculty of Science and Technology which was established in September 2004. Within the span of few times, Faculty of Education started in 2006 with devoted faculties for education. Faculty of Management started in December 2007 with pillar of knowledge in the field of management. In August 2009, the Faculty of Law started with high qualified faculties.

The University campus is situated in Kamalghat Sadar approximately 15 km. far from the Agartala city, capital of State of Tripura with a huge campus covering the area of 34 acres. The campus houses a huge Administrative Block Complex, a Guest House, a Gymnasium, a laboratory block, separate Boys and Girls hostel of 400 occupancy with attractive and modern Dining hall. Medical facilities are also available for the students and staffs with modern equipment in university campus.
