Icer Addis
Icer Addis (also known as Sardu and Smegma) is a computer programmer considered a legendary figure in the emulation Scene. He co-founded Bloodlust Software with his friend Ethan Petty, a small Software company in Wichita, Kansas dedicated to develop shareware and freeware games featuring humorous and bloody graphics.
Working independently under the Bloodlust Software banner, Addis wrote NESticle, Genecyst and Callus (and also a QSound player), emulators of the Nintendo Entertainment System, Sega Genesis and Capcom Play System 1 respectively, writing his own code for the MOS Technology 6502, Motorola 68000 and Zilog Z80. Due to the relative Quality and speed of these emulators in contrast to other emulators of the time, NESticle, Genecyst and Callus became wildly popular amongst emulation enthusiasts.
While concurrently programming games for Bloodlust Software, Addis attended university with hopes to eventually attend medical school.
In 1998, he was hired by Electronic Arts as programmer where he has worked on numerous games. He currently works at Electronic Arts's Tiburon office, mostly on sports games.
