ICarly: iFight Shelby Marx

iCarly: iFight Shelby Marx is an 2009 Nickelodeon movie, based on the TV series iCarly. It stars Miranda Cosgrove, Jennette McCurdy, Nathan Kress, Jerry Trainor, Reed Alexander and Victoria Justice. This is an hour long movie.

Plot

Carly and mixed martial arts champ Shelby Marx (Zoey 101's and Spectacular!'s Victoria Justice) agree to have an exhibition fight for charity after Carly jokingly challenges her to a match. Unfortunately, Carly accidentally falls on Shelby's grandmother during a press conference. Believing Shelby wants revenge, Carly backs out of the fight, only to be ridiculed as a coward that deserve to die in the match for assaulting an elder. Carly visits Shelby and apologizes, and the fight is back on. However, Nevel Papperman alters a clip of the press conference to make it look like Carly intentionally tackled Shelby's grandma to dupe Shelby into fighting Carly (presumably to rob Carly's inheritance of her WebShow after her humiliating death in the match), thus scapegoating Shelby for Nevel's planned fatal attempt on Carly's life. Shelby, furious and disillusioned, attacks Carly for real during the match, nearly [...] her, Carly then clinges with her life onto Shelby's leg for the rest of the "fight". Nevel's assassination plot is revealed and as punishment, he is beaten up by Carly, Sam, and Shelby after Freddie puts him in the Octagon. The show concludes with Shelby appearing on iCarly. Meanwhile, Spencer suffers from ridiculous side effects while taking an experimental allergy medication including being insanely thirsty, continuous sweating, short term memory loss, itching and muscle spasms. A small bit of the hour long movie was taken out of the film because it had Sam saying to Carly-"You acted like a total spaz out there." Spaz is an offensive word and may of offended some people who suffer from similar medical conditions.

Trivia

Although she only appeared in this episode, Victoria Justice's character Shelby Marx became one of her most memorable roles and the most memorable guest star in the show iCarly.

Zoey 101 Connection

Miranda Cosgrove, Jennette McCurdy and Victoria Justice all appeared in the show Zoey 101. Cosgrove appeared in the episode Paige at PCA as the titular guest character, McCurdy appeared as a titular character in the episode Bad Girl which inspired McCurdy's portrayal of Sam in iCarly, finally, Justice appears as a main character in Zoey 101 from Seasons 2 to 4.
