Hot106

Hot106 is an internet radio station broadcasting in Mainstream Urban and Rhythmic Contemporary Hit Radio out of San Antonio, Texas. The station is operated by Live365.com and is streamed at 64k MP3Pro HD Radio.

Programming

Hot106 began broadcasting on October 16, 2006 and has kept the same style programming since then. The station is owned by Carl Cantin, the CEO of CStar Communications, and is broadcasted though Live365.

The intention of the station is to deliver new music and with FM like radio interactions. Including a chat room Meebo at which you can chat with on air disc jockeys while they are on air.

In July 2007 the station took a new turn into a more "interactive" spin with the launch of "Instant Hip Hop" (similar to Radio-One's "Interactive Hip Hop and R&B").

The station's website has been remodeled on numerous occasions at first with a layout similar to Emmis Communications' WQHT ("Hot 97"). But when the station was changed to "Instant Hip Hop" the website was changed to a more original style.
