Jack has now left Darren to manage the pub for a short term, although Darren lost ownership of the pub after a game of poker with Warren Fox in December 2007.
The Loft
Ever-controversial nightspot, which attracts just as much revelry as ribaldry. It has been owned by a number of residents including Scott Anderson who had rranged a number of dodgy deals in the premises before it was sold to Tony and Mandy Hutchinson to expand Il Gnosh, however it got too much for the couple especially after the birth of their daughter so they sold it to Max Cunningham-who was the bar manager-however when he had got involved with scheming Clare Cunningham (Devine) he had to sell it off as part of a deal. After her exit she sold it to Warren who is running it along with Louise.
Justin pushed Claire of the balcony of the Loft in an attempt to kill her, avenging the deaths of his sisters Mel & Sophie Burton, who had died in The Dog In The Pond Fire.

Il Gnosh
Latest incarnation of the local cafe, currently pitching itself at the cosmopolitan Europhile rather than denizens of the greasy spoon. Formerly Gnosh Village (pronounced vil-arzh). Sometimes informally called just Gnosh. Before Tony bought the premises, it was known as Deva, the cafe run by the Morgan family.

The shop is family owned, and until mid-2006 was owned by Max Cunningham who inherited it from his late father. Wanting to keep it a family business, but at the same time wanting to spend more time with his family and running the Loft, Max sold to Neville Ashworth and his family. Neville invested in the shop with his family, who he hoped would take turns working there.
Nevills wife Suzanne works in the shop between her hospital shift, eldest son Rhys works during free periods at college, youngest son Josh and only daughter Hannah between school. Rhys soon decided he didn't want to work there as it would interfere with his music aspirations, so Neville hired Rhy's best mate Gilly Roach. Soon Josh and Hannah abandoned there shifts to study and socialise with there friends so Neville also hired Rhys former Girlfriend Sarah Barnes.
