Hoiio is a cloud communication company. Hoiio provides software developers with simple web APIs to programmatically access telecommunication infrastructure. Building on the Hoiio API, Hoiio also provides unified communication apps such as Main Line, Fax, International Calls to end users.

History

Hoiio Platform focuses on simplifying unified communication technologies into elegant cloud services. Their tagline is Simplify Communications.

Hoiio started on 18th April 2007 as a System Integrator for Mobile Operators and Internet Telephony Service Providers. In June 2011, Hoiio pivoted their business to focus on providing cloud communication services. The Two main products are Hoiio API and Hoiio UC (Unified Communication).

In March 2012, Hoiio launch the Hoiio API in Demo Asia and won the Demo Asia People Choice Awards 2012.  In August 2012, Hoiio launch the Hoiio UC in Singapore. The first app is Main Line and provided businesses with a cloud based phone secretary services.  With Hoiio API and Hoiio UC, Hoiio won the Judges Choice and Gold Awards in Cloud Computing in SiTF (Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation) Awards 2012.

Hoiio has a vision is to create a cloud communication platform (Facebook for Unified Communication).

Hoiio Platform focuses on simplifying unified communication technologies into elegant cloud services; namely Hoiio API and Hoiio UC.

Hoiio API

Hoiio API is officially launched in March 2012 and enables software developers to create powerful communication applications through the use of simple web APIs.  Hoiio API operates on a Platform as a Service business model and charges the software developers for usages of the Voice, SMS and Number services.

The Hoiio APIs is build on the concept of creating Lego blocks for building unified communication apps and consists of the following key APIs:

• Voice (Voice Call, Voice Conference)
• SMS (Incoming SMS, Outgoing SMS)
• IVR (Answer, Dial, Play, Gather, Record, Monitor, Transfer, Hangup)

Hoiio UC

Hoiio UC officially launched in August 2012 and is built on Hoiio API. Hoiio UC provides unified communication apps to professionals and small businesses. Hoiio UC operates on a Software as a Service business model and charges the users for usages of the Voice, SMS and Numbers as well as subscriptions for the Apps. Hoiio UC currently provides the following apps:
