Hogi Yogi
Hogi Yogi is a fast-food restaurant chain specializing in submarine sandwiches ("Hogis") and frozen yogurt ("Yogis"). There are approximately 70 locations throughout Utah, Idaho, Arizona, Nevada, and California. The sandwiches are similar to those served by Subway or Quiznos.
The chain was founded in 1989 by former Subway employee Mike Clayton in Logan, Utah. Shortly thereafter, it moved its headquarters to Provo, Utah. The chain expanded to California in 1993 with the help of developers Lenny Evans and Dacy Nottingham.
In 1995, Mike Clayton and his brother Rick Clayton founded a complimentary concept called Teriyaki Stix. Teriyaki Stix is a fast-food restaurant specializing in "chicken bowl" style Japanese food, similar to Hibachi-San.
In 2003, the two restaurantuers started Glazies Bakery, which specializes in fresh donuts.
All three of the brands are franchised by HYATS LLC, also out of Provo, Utah. Scott Osmond, son of Alan Osmond and of Osmond Second Generation fame, currently serves as the company's Chief Financial Officer.
