Hoang huong trang
Hoang Huong Trang ( Hoàng Hương Trang ), birth name : Hoang Thi Diem Phuong ( Hoàng Thị Diệm Phương ), is a Vietnamese artist. She was born in Huế, Vietnam.
Kieu Tri Nguyen is a Vietnamese artists was born in 1940 in Hanoi, Vietnam, where he also got his Masters in Fine Arts. His first exhibition hosted by the Vietnam Fine Arts Association was held in 1989. In 1990 he had a solo exhibition, hosted by a cultural exchange between Vietnam and France, on the "Humanity of Modern Ethics" inspired by ancient poems. His most recent exhibition was in Hanoi and HCMC at the end of 2005.
Although he paints both modern and realists pieces, he prefers realism because he thinks it has more of a human touch to that modernism. Kieu Nguyen is a good example of the changes taking place in Vietnam. Not only is it changing ecomically and politically, it is also changing culturally. Lu TheLu The's Portrait is also a Vietnamese artist born in a small town of Nam Dinh in 1943. Even though his first exhibition sponsored by the Social and Cultural Department of Vietnam in 1966 he did not become renowned until 1975. Lu The has had many exhibition, however most of them were for charity fundraisers helping local relief efforts. He also had an exhibit in 1968 and in 1969 he was in a group exhibition held at the Parliament House in Saigon. By 1970 Lu The received his first bronze medal honored by Vietnam’s president Nguyen Van Thieu. In 1972 Lu The has his first sculpture exhibit hosted by a joint effort between the US and Vietnam Art Association. In 1973 the Esso Petroleum Company hosted an solo exhibit for Lu The and honored him with a certificate for Religious and Art exhibition. And in 1999, 2002 and 2005 he was awarded with one of highest honors received in the art community by Ho Chi Minh City Fine Art Museum and Vietnam’s Ministry of Information and Cultural affairs. Lu The most recent exhibit, Queen Of Vietnamese Holy” was held in HCMC in 2005 and was sponsored by Cardinal Sepe of Roma Cathedral. Lu The is presently a member of the HCMC Fine Arts Association.
