History

Hip Hop High began in 2007 as a stage musical, with book written by Z-man and Cindy Topps, and based on a screenplay by Rodney Thornton and Z-man. The story is set in a urban city, involving a cast of characters in the racially-diverse neighborhood of New York City. It premiered at the 2010 New York International Fringe festival. By 2013, Rodney Thornton registered Hip Hop High the Musical as a live performance by a musical group, and Hip Hop High as a clothing and footwear brand and trademark, with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
