Hexaglobe S.A.S is a French company based in Paris, which specialises in software and services for media companies. The company has major customers in the media industry in France with one third of French free-to-air digital terrestrial TV channels being its customers for multi-device content delivery.
The company sells software (both as a licensed version and SaaS version) and especially its flagship product: Hexaglobe Media Platform.
The company owns a telecom operator licence in France (L33) and provide content delivery network services.
Hexaglobe took part in large collaborative R&D projects funded by the European Community, ITEA and Cap-Digital (Business cluster of the Paris region), the projects are :

Hexaglobe Media Platform
Hexaglobe media platform is a software suite designed to allow video content delivery on multiple sales channels and devices. The product has been launched in 2006 and is currently at version 2. It is used by video on demand operators and content aggregators. The company claims it is used to distribute more than 2 billion video files every month.
The Media Platform in itself is a set of building blocks or framework to quickly develop video distribution applications whether B2B or B2C.
Hexaglobe Media Encoder
Hexaglobe sells encoding services and encoders, although most of its sales seems to be in the services markets. The Hexaglobe Media Encoder provides both file encoding and live encoding. It has been developed specially for the OTT market.
Hexaglobe Media CDN
Hexaglobe operates a CDN geared toward French speaking markets. It has points of presence in continental Europe and North America.
Customers
Among the customers of the company are France Televisions, Euronews, Direct 8, Direct Star, Pathe and Endemol.
