Hemut’s technology touches all aspects of a trucking company’s back office (dispatch, accounting, communication, and documentation).
Founders
Hemut was founded out of a UCLA dorm room by CEO Loki Cheema and his classmates. Cheema’s path to entrepreneurship started when he became homeless at 16 years old. This was also when he was introduced to the inefficiencies of the trucking industry as he picked up a side-hustle helping truck drivers with their paperwork while he worked at a motel. Cheema then scaled up to running a full dispatching operation with a 16 truck fleet, then a grocery store, and a restaurant.
AI Integration
Hemut’s product is built around AI integration and psychological design principles. It has an AI-native platform that makes use of the following technologies:
- AI voice agents
- AI document uploads
- Route Optimization
- Load sourcing tools
- Automated accounting features
- Billing automation
- Fleet maintenance
