Help Wanted is the pilot episode of the hit TV series, Spongebob Squarepants. It premiered after the 1999 Kids Choice Awards on May 1.
Plot
SpongeBob attempts to get his dream job at a local fast food restaurant, the Krusty Krab. Squidward, a cashier who works there, is not pleased with this fact and tells the boss, Mr. Krabs. In an attempt to get rid of SpongeBob, Krabs sends him on a fool's errand to fetch a hydro-dynamic spatula with port and starboard attachments and turbo drive. As SpongeBob leaves, a school of anchovies come to the Krusty Krab and start causing a riot. They are shocked that SpongeBob returned with the spatula and he starts cooking burgers at a fast pace, feeding the anchovies. The riot ceases and the anchovies leave. As a result, SpongeBob is hired.
