Heather Smith (author)

Heather Smith is an Australian-born author, chartered certified accountant, writer, speaker and small-business consultant based in Brisbane Australia.

She is best known as the author of Xero for Dummies series and Learn Small Business Start Up in 7 Days. She was personally approached by Xero's co-founder Rod Drury to write Xero for Dummies.

Heather is also a certified advisor for both Xero and MYOB.

Career

Heather is a Fellow of the ACCA. She has a Bachelor of Commerce from Griffith University. Heather is one of the mentors at River City Labs, a non profit organisation aiming to promote high-tech start up businesses in Brisbane and surrounding regions. She performs a similar role at the Sunshine Coast Innovation Centre.
