HeartMath

The Institute of HeartMath is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that has been conducting over 15 years of research on the heart (especially research on heart-brain communication and cognitive function.) The organization was founded by Doc Childre in 1991 whose vision was to research the heart to improve people's lives. In addition to its research the company also has an education division that develops, tests, and distributes learning programs for use in schools to help students with academic performance, behavior, stress and anxiety.

HeartMath LLC is a training company based in Boulder Creek, California, USA, specializing in reducing stress and boosting performance for individuals and organizations using patented techniques and proprietary heart rate variability technology. The company was founded by Doc Childre in 1997 when it split from the Institute of HeartMath, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.

HeartMath LLC has been featured in media stories on CNN, ABC World News Tonight, NBC's Today Show, Good Morning America, Lifetime Television, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and others. HeartMath's techniques have been published in journals such as the Harvard Business Review, Journal of Innovative Management, The American Journal of Cardiology, Stress Medicine, Journal of Advancement in Medicine and others.
