Hardy Boats
Hardy Boats was founded in 1976 by John Hardy and Colin Mudie building small motor boats in North Walsham. In 1977 they bought a site in Norfolk and it was expanded in 1982 to the size it is now. During the time that this new factory was being built, Andrew Wolstenholme designed the Seawings range of sports cruisers for some smaller cruisers and fishing boat designs. In January 2013, the ownership of Hardy Marine changed following the death of owner Mark Funnell. Windboats Marine ltd., boatbuilders in Norfolk since 1920, purchased the assets of the company. Windboats, renowned builders of the Oyster range of luxury ocean sailing boats, intend to bring their building expertise together with design flair to this long established and respected brand of power boats.
