Hangsen is the world’s largest E-liquid manufacturer and a leading electronic cigarette manufacturer. The company was founded in 2009, expanded to US and then Europe. By May 2012 According to its website, Hangsen is a well known name in over 35 countries and the products are used by over 1.5 million electronic cigarette consumers. Hangsen sets up its UK subsidy in London for its European customers in 2010.

Products

Hangsen sells a wide range of electronic cigarettes and E-liquid from naturally extracted tobacco. It provides OEM service to most of the major electronic cigarette retailers in the world. The natural tobacco includes Zimbabwe tobacco, Izmir tobacco, Burley tobacco etc. The techniques used in the process of tobacco leaves are molecular distillation, supercritical fluid extraction technique and molecular interception etc. The effective ingredients extracted using these technique are 98% pure.

Industry History

As the first electronic cigarette was invented in 2004 in China, E-liquid, the liquid inside the electronic cigarette, which is heated and vaporized to create the vapour and the smoking sensation, became the major obstacle of the market expansion. At that time, consumers were looking for a kind of liquid which can generate large amount of vapour, while creating great smoking sensation. Jide Yao, founder of Hangsen, spent over 1 year and millions of dollars into the research of a stable recipe. This recipe defines the use of PG (Propylene Glycol) and VG (Vegetable Glycerin) as the solvent in the liquid and the customizable nicotine strength and flavor. In 2005 the first batch of E-liquid was shipped out from his factory. The E-liquid created a huge impact of the market and reshaped the image of electronic cigarettes among consumers. The new liquid maximizes the vapour and the smoking sensation. Since then, Jide Yao’s team has been the dominant supplier of the E-liquid market and their products are used by tens of millions of people worldwide over the years. In 2009, Hangsen was founded to fulfill the fast growing demand of the international market.

Over the years the recipe has been improved and has now over 200 flavours and different versions tailored for different electronic cigarettes. Most E-liquid in the world is produced based on the original recipe created in 2005 by Jide Yao with some variation by individual manufacturers.

Worldwide, there are competitors operating in labs and home, and sell locally. In the US, Johnson Creek is most known lab manufacturing E-liquid. In EU, Intellicig has several years of E-liquid production.
