She descends from multiple royal bloodlines, including those mentioned in the Hawaiian Kumulipo, along with various European royals, Indigenous nations, and African dynasties, including the Gullah Geechee Tribes. She is a great-great granddaughter of Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalaniana'ole, as her great-grandmother is the "Hidden Princess", Princess Maude Kanaka Kalaniana'ole. Genealogical DNA test.

Programs often include activities like music production and art therapy to create what the organization calls "safe, inclusive spaces" for participants.
