For more than 35 years, the company has partnered with many organizations and businesses in Texas engaged in real estate, energy, education, lifestyle, health care, local and state government, the nonprofit sector and transportation.

History

Hahn, Texas' roots go back to 1974 when Cathy Bonner founded Bonner, Inc. The firm was acquired in 1991 by Kerry Tate and a year later changed its name to TateAustin. Throughout much of the 1990s, TateAustin offered advertising services and in 1998 repositioned to focus on PR and creative services. In 2005, TateAustin moved to its current location at 1105 N. Lamar Blvd. in downtown Austin. Kerry Tate sold the firm in 2007 to Jeff Hahn, a former communications executive with Motorola and Freescale Semiconductor. Kerry Tate stayed on with the firm and also launched a new venture, Civic Interest. In March of 2010, the company changed its name to Hahn, Texas and adopted the tagline "Hahn, Texas connects what belongs together."

Awards

Hahn,Texas has received multiple public relations industry awards. In 2002, the agency won the Texas Public Relations Association(TPRA)4 Silver Spur award in the Public Affairs category for marketing the State of Texas for economic development. Hahn,Texas was honored by the Holmes Report Sabre Awards for its work with Texas grocer H-E-B for the "Flight to Fight Hunger" event to kick off the company's 100th anniversary celebration. TPRA honored Hahn,Texas again in 2007 for its crisis communications work during the University of Texas McCombs School of Business data theft incident. The agency won a CNBC International Property Award in 2008 for its communications and marketing efforts for its real estate practice, including the Mueller development, Austin's former airport.
Since its founding, Hahn,Texas has been committed to giving back to the community. The company received the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce community award in 2001, United Way Capital Area's MVP award in 2007 and the 2006 Ethics in Business Award from the Samaritan Center.
