Haglorico Studios and kylharri Productions

Kyle William Harrison and Michael Griego are the creators of Haglorico Studios and kylharri productions. Both are graduates of Del Norte High School in Albuquerque New Mexico. They collaborate using basic filmmaking equipment including ProHD JVC cameras and Final Cut Express. Harrison is the main director, producer, editor and camera operator for the group. Greigo is the main acting leader in the group also providing producing and directing qualities. Harrison began by taking a Television broadcasting class, learning basic editing techniques and camerawork. Meeting Griego when Harrison was a sophomore and Griego was a junior in high school, they began making simple films using a Casablanca editing system. The two eventually upgraded to more advanced software and larger projects. The group has operated with literally no funding, utilizing equipment available from Del Norte and is completely operated by individuals under the age of 21.

Partners

While Harrison and Griego are considered the creators of Haglorico, several partners have become involved in most kylharri productions. Two of the most consistent partners are Matthew Farner and Damian Martinez. These two are considered most notable within the group because of their continuous contributions to the groups films. The four young men have continued to be the key creative components of all kylharri productions. Martinez is the key writer for several of the Haglorico creations, and Farner has expressed interest not only in key acting roles, but also learning the tools necessary in order to completely create a film and has also been named the successor for Harrison.

Haglorico Studios

Haglorico Studios is an ameteur comedy group that CREATES made-for-Youtube films. The name "Haglorico" is derived from the name Hagmaier, an mutual educator of the creators of the studio, mixed with the term Folklorico, coming from Ballet Folklorico, because the group began in an old ballet room that had been altered to be used as an editing room. Haglorico studios is considered more specifically a basic name than a company title, as there is no company tied to the group.

kylharri productions

The term "kylharri" comes from the Youtube username used by the group in order to present their productions. Tied with Haglorico studios, kylharri productions is another title used by the group to distinguish themselves. The name kylharri was a username for Harrison at Southwest Secondary Learning Center in Albuquerque, and because it was original, the group continued to use it.

Productions, films and methods

In creating the film productions of Haglorico Studios and kylharri productions, the group follows a certain pattern of creation. Co-creators, Harrison and Griego, begin with a format of the film, acting as lead writers and creators. With an idea instilled, dialogue and writing is formatted by Damian Martinez, another member of Haglorico Studios. When the entire piece is compiled, the group begins filming. All the tools of the film-making itself are provided by Harrison and Del Norte High School. Haglorico uses several different actors, including the creators themselves, in making these films. The scope of the films have included several different styles of film-making including mock-documentary, trailers, election campaigns and MusicAL numbers. In the process, using several different individuals, Haglorico GeneRally uses the same body of actors, most of which are Del Norte graduates. The projects that the group creates are almost completely improv and generally do not have any written form for the actors to work from. The group has only created three projects that were fully scripted, including Mistakes Are Like Bullets, Desperate For Reply and the upcoming Moldy Doughnuts.

Several individuals who have been or are planned to be a part of the Haglorico productions, but are generally uncredited include Rory Thomas, Dylan Wilson, Mario Teyachea, Selena Otero, Ana Thurgood, Linlea Harrison, Mark McCormack

Rumored future work

Haglorico Studios and kylharri Productions have several projects that have been announced as in production. A ten episode season of The Secret Life Of Suckage is currently being produced including the next three planned episodes set to include Alyssa Velasquez, Emily Larsen and Mark Cormack. The season has been on temporary hiatus in order to allow creative formulation, but is set to return in late April 2010. The series is set to continue the current story line while introducing new characters including Velasquez as Matt's girlfriend, Larsen as Michael's sister, and Cormack as an employee of the exchange program. In reality, Cormack is the brother of key Haglorico creator Michael Griego. The series also intends to pick up a wide variety of guest characters including small reprisals from Kyle Harrison, appearances by Matt Farners real parents Laurel and Mark Farner, and Rory Thomas. A sequel to Stalker Texas Ranger is in the pre-production stage set to begin filming at the close of season 2 of Secret Life Of Suckage. The Stalker Texas Ranger is planned to continue the story line, and production procedure including improv created situations and will also include all four key Haglorico members as actors. Moldy Doughnuts is in the beginning filming stage.

Moldy Doughnuts

Moldy Doughnuts is by far the largest project that Haglorico and kylharri have undertaken thus far. Utilizing over thirty actors, on location filming, and a full bodied script, this project is projected to be released on the group's YouTube channel near the end of August, 2010. Written by Damian Martinez, Moldy Doughnuts was performed on the Del Norte main stage with a separate high school cast that will differ when the production is done by Haglorico Studios. Moldy Doughnuts is the story of Ralph "Dignum" McKluckzy who meets a girl named Vivian. Because of his vulnerable attitude in his life and Vivian's inability to commit to a relationship, Dignum is deeply hurt by this girl. The stage cast included Damian Martinez as Dignum, Kiley Farner as Vivian, Matthew Farner as Matt, Emily Larsen as The Guy, Victoria Wright as Big Mouth and Hillary Peltz as the Hobo. The Haglorico film version will be a more diverse cast with a more formatted approach than is usual for kylharri productions. Michael Griego has been cast as Dignum with Vivian to be played by Alyssa Velasquez. Matt Farner and Emily Larsen will return as their stage roles and Damian Martinez will become Big Mouth with Kiley Farner stepping in as "Stacy", a character that was cut from the stage version but will be reintegrated in the film version.
