Hadi Azizi (businessman)

Hadi Azizi (), also known as Hadi Azizi, born in 12 August 1961 is an Iranian businessman.

Personal life and education

Azizi is one of the few Iranian politicians to have a truly international background, having studied Business Administration at Tehran Business School, he continued his Masters in International Economics at University of Manchester He attended his Ph.D. courses in Aden Brook University and New School University. He obtained his second Ph.D. in Economics from University of Kiev.

Political and academic career

At age of 45 he became the Director General of the Economic Affairs Department in Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Five years later, he became special advisor to the Foreign Ministry. In the following year, he acted as advisor to the Minister of Petroleum. .

Diplomatic career

Azizi’s diplomatic career began with his appointment as Iran’s Deputy Ambassador to Ukraine between 2009 and 2012, during which he played a key role in revitalising Iranian and Ukraine business/political relations. At the end of 2012, Azizi was nominated as Head of Iran – Ukraine Business council in Ukraine.
