Haar Jeet (TV series)

Haar Jeet was an Indian drama aired on Imagine TV. It premiered on October 3, 2011 and finished on April 12, 2012.

When children become a source of income… it is the childhood that gets lost.

Parents always dream that their children should grow up to be successful. It brings them a great sense of joy to see their children doing well. But sometimes the parent’s dream can turn into a nightmare for the children. Parents become pushy and start living their dreams through their children. Worse, they push the child towards success so that they can personally benefit from it. Nowhere is this more stark than in the glamourous world of TV.

Plot

Haar Jeet is story about cousin sisters, Mahika and Ishika. Ishika is the rich cousin who is modeling, and Mahika is the poor cousin who lives in the village with her father, mother, grandmother and aunt (father's sister). Ishika lives with her father and selfish mother in Mumbai. Mahika had a dream about being an actress, but she didn't knew that it was difficult because she was not in Ishika's situation. Ishika's life was so busy because of her shoots that she couldn't give time to her studies or any spare time to play as a regular child would.

After a while they have a car crash where only Ishika, her mother, Mahika, and her grandmother survive. The story jumps forward ten years and Mahika and Ishika grow up. Ishu likes a young man, but Mahika gets married to him. Ishika is the bad person and Mahika is the victim as well as the boy — Sahil. Sahil is a victim because he is very rich, and Ishika is only after his money. Before the marriage Sahil decides to run away and get married. Ishika thinks about the money so she decides not to get married. She tells Sahil to marry Mahika and that Mahika is very bad; once they have got married then leave Mahika and marry Ishika. She says that because Ishika knows after Sahil is married he will be the owner of everything; if he marries Ishika she will be the owner of everything.
