Gustavo dos Santos Correia

Gustavo dos Santos Correia (born 11 August 1986) is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Al-Oruba SC in Oman Professional League.

Club career

Brazil

Gustavo began his professional career in Brazil with his parent club CR Vasco da Gama in 2006. In 2008, he signed a one-year contract with another Rio de Janeiro-based club Volta Redonda Futebol Clube with whom he signed a one-year contract. In 2009, he again signed a one-year contract with another Rio de Janeiro -based club Audax Rio de Janeiro Esporte Clube.

In 2010, he once again signed a six-year contract with a Rio de Janeiro-based club Bangu Atlético Clube. He made his Campeonato Carioca debut with the Rio de Janeiro-based club on 16 January 2010 in a 3-0 loss against Boavista F.C. and scored his first goal on 4 April 2010 in a 2-2 draw against Brazilian top club Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas. He made 5 appearances and scored 1 goal for the Rio-based club in the 2010 Campeonato Carioca.

He first moved out of Rio de Janeiro in 2010 to São Paulo where he signed a six-month contract with Associação Portuguesa de Desportos.

In 2011, he came back to Rio de Janeiro and signed a one-year contract with America Football Club. He made his debut for the Rio de Janeiro-based club on 26 January 2011 in a 4-1 loss against Resende Futebol Clube. He made 8 appearances for the Rio de Janeiro-based club in the 2011 Campeonato Carioca.

Europe

He first moved out of Brazil after a five-year long spell in 2011 to Europe and more accurately to Armenia where he signed a two-year contract with Armenian Premier League club Gandzasar FC. He made his Armenian Premier League debut on 25 June 2011 in a 1-0 win over FC Banants and scored his first goal on 6 August 2011 in a 4-0 win over FC Shirak. In the 2012–13 season, he also made his UEFA Europa League debut on 5 July 2012 in a 3-1 loss against EB/Streymur. He made 29 appearances and scored 4 goals in his two-year spell at the Kapan-based club.

Back to Brazil

In 2013, he came back to Brazil and signed a one-year contract with Quissamã-based Quissamã Futebol Clube. He made his debut for the club on 17 March 2013 in a 4-0 loss against Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas. and scored his first goal on 30 March 2013 in a 2-1 loss against one of his former clubs, Volta Redonda Futebol Clube. He made 5 appearances and scored 2 goals for the Quissamã-based club in the 2013 Campeonato Carioca.

Morocco

He once again moved out of Brazil in 2013 and this time to North Africa and more accurately to Morocco where he signed a one-year contract with Botola club Widad Fez.

Oman

On 8 September 2014, he came back to Oman and on the next day he signed a one-year contract with Oman Professional League club Al-Oruba SC.
