Gulnaz Dadashova
Gulnaz Dadashova (Gülnaz Dadaşova) is an Azerbaijani cardiologist, professor, and Doctor of Medical Sciences. She serves as the director of the Scientific Research Institute of Cardiology in Baku, Azerbaijan. Her research focuses on chronic heart failure, gender differences in cardiovascular disease, and cardio‑oncology.
Biography
Dadashova completed her medical education and postgraduate training in cardiology in Azerbaijan. She holds the academic titles of Doctor of Medical Sciences (tibb elmləri doktoru) and professor. She is affiliated with the Azerbaijan Medical University and the Scientific Research Institute of Cardiology.
She has been actively involved in organising and participating in national and international scientific conferences. In 2019 she took part in the 40th anniversary conference of the Scientific Research Institute of Cardiology. In 2022 she spoke at a scientific conference dedicated to Victory Day in Baku.
Research and clinical work
Dadashova's research focuses on chronic heart failure, particularly gender‑specific differences in diagnosis and treatment. She has explored the efficacy of pharmacological therapies in women with heart failure and contributed to the development of improved diagnostic strategies. Her work is aimed at optimising patient management in cardiology and addressing under‑recognised gender disparities in cardiovascular medicine.
She is a member of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and participates in its professional networks. She also contributed to a conference on cardio‑oncology held in Baku in 2023 as part of the «Heydar Aliyev Year».
