GTU ITR College

The GTU – Institute of Technology and Research (GTU-ITR) is a semi government college managed and controlled by Gujarat Technological University. The college focus on technical knowledge, skill development and industry oriented skills for engineering.

Overview

GTU-ITR work as center fully dedicated to provide practical training, research, skill improvement for diploma, degree students. The college collaborate with industry and training center to offer domain specific courses.

Academic and training programs

The College offers Degree courses and Diploma courses in four different engineering branches:

  1. Mechanical Engineering
  2. Computer Engineering
  3. Civil Engineering
  4. Electrical Engineering

College also offers Integrated MSc in Information Technologypant. It also offers Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Security (PGDCS).

The college offers skill development program in three different centers of excellence (GTU-AIA Center, Siemens Center and Anchor Institute).

GTU-AIA Foundry Skill Development Centre

History

  • The center was inaugurated in January 2025.
  • It was formed by MoU between AIA Industry and GTU.
  • It is founded under AIA Engineering Ltd's corporate social responsibility initiative.

Location and affiliation

  • The center is based at GTU-ITR college, Mehsana which is managed by GTU.
  • GTU-ITR gives infrastructure and campus for skill development center.

Training

  • The center gives foundry practices training, which includes metal casting, mold making, furnace, quality control, safety and maintenance.
  • Training available for both diploma and degree students of mechanical, electrical and metallurgy branches.

Infrastructure and facilities

  • The center is located at GTU-ITR campus for conducting theoretical and practical training.

Placements

For first batch, six out of eight students are successfully placed in AIA company.

For the second batch, eight of ten students are successfully placed in AIA Industry and other foundry companies. Highest package of 5.5 LPA is achieved in second batch.

Industry collaboration

GTU-ITR works with multiple industries for practical learning experience and hands on training.

Campus and facilities

The college provides technical labs, workshops, classrooms and seminar halls, computer and software training labs.

Placement (2022-2023)

Odoo India Pvt. Ltd., TCS, Yudiz Solutions, HKRP Technologies, Sarjen Systems, Bitscape, Acty System, Script All DNA, and PCB Plant are just a few of the top firms where the university's students have been placed.

Electrical engineering students received ₹2.60 lakh annually (PCB Plant), while computer engineering students received the highest package of ₹5.00 lakh annually (Odoo India Pvt. Ltd.). The internships demonstrate the graduates' strong industry engagement and employability.
