Greig Woodring

Albert Greig Woodring is the Chairman at International Insurance Society Inc. and the President, CEO and Director at Reinsurance Group of America Inc.

Career

Woodring was an actuary at United Insurance Company in Chicago, Illinois when he first started working. He then joined General American Life Insurance Company in 1979 as an actuary. He then assumed responsibility for General American's reinsurance business in 1986 as the Executive Vice President. He became the President and CEO of Reinsurance Group of America in May 1993.

Education

Mr. Woodring received his BS in mathematics from the University of Michigan in 1973. He received his MS in mathematics from the University of Illinois in 1975 and he received an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.

Board memberships

Woodring is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He was elected to be the Chairman of the IIS Board of Directors as of June 16, 2013.
