Greg Rosenthal

Greg Rosenthal, (born October 27, 1988 in Minnesota, United States), is an American soccer Defender. He currently plays for the St. Paul Twin Stars, an amateur mens' team in the NPSL based in Minnesota, and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers.

Youth Career

Greg is currently playing for University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers soccer team and serves as their team captain.

In 2007, he broke a Panther record for most starts as a freshman (17), making 20 appearances, taking 14 shots and scoring once, a memorable goal from just over midfield. Also earned a spot on the Horizon League All-Newcomer Team and was also named the team's newcomer of the year.

In 2008, he served as team captain, started all of the 17 matches he played in, playing every minute of 16 of them. Taking 4 shots on goal in 6 attempts, and earned all-tournament team honors at the Panther Invintational, and the Drake Classic.

In 2009, he was named as team captain for the second consecutive time.

Career

He is currently playing for the St. Paul Twin Stars under head coach Youssef Darbaki, playing his first NPSL season in 2007.

In 2007, his work in DeFence helped the team earn a third place position on the Midwest table

In 2008, his play in defence earn his team win the Midwest title for the first time, winning a runner-up spot in the National Final Four in New York.

In 2009, he helped his team once again won the Midwest title, followed by a semi-finalist honor in the NPSL Final Four, after losing out to Sonoma County Sol, 4-1.
