Greg Pruitt, Jr.
Pruitt played high school football at Shaker Heights High School in Shaker Heights, Ohio where he was a 4-year letterman at running back and cornerback. Earned All-American 2-way Player honors as a senior and was a 3-time All-Area, All-County, All-Conference and All-City selection. Also garnered All-State honors his final season when he was rated as the 14th-best all-purpose back in the nation by Rivals.com. He rushed for 1,854 yards and 25 touchdowns as a senior. On defense, he racked up 45 tackles (35 solo) and six pass deflections. Was also an All-League track athlete in the 100 meter dash and 4x100 meter relay.
College Career
In just three seasons at North Carolina Central University, Pruitt became the school's all-time leading rusher with 3,008 career yards. He is the only player in school history to break the 3,000-yard career-rushing barrier and the only player to rush for more than 1,000 yards in a season twice (2004 and 2005).
Pro Career
Pruitt signed with the Baltimore Ravens as a rookie free agent on May 4, 2007.
Personal
Father Greg Pruitt was a five time Pro Bowl selection at running back while playing for the Cleveland Browns and the Los Angeles Raiders from 1973-1984.
