Greg Marrow

Greg J. Marrow is the Democratic nominee for election to the Virginia House of Delegates from the 25th District. He was the winner of the June 9, 2009, Democratic primary, defeating opponent James Noel by a 2-to-1 margin to face incumbent Steve Landes in the November 3, 2009, general election. Marrow will be Landes's first Democratic opponent since his initial election to office in 1995.

Marrow has not previously sought elected office, but has worked on both Republican and Democratic campaigns in the past. Believing that in recent years the Republicans have "left the middle class behind", he is seeking election as a Democrat with a focus on bringing green jobs to his district, improving support for veterans, and reforming health care at the state and national levels.

An optometrist with a practice in Harrisonburg, Virginia, Dr. Marrow earned a doctorate of optometry at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. He is a US Navy veteran and served as department head of the Optometry Clinic at the Naval Hospital at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point in North Carolina.
