Grand Master of Voviology
Grand Teacher Từ Minh Đạt of Voviology (1st Successor of Venerable Master) Grand Teacher Từ Minh Đạt is the first successor of Venerable Master to continue the propagation of Voviology.
He started leading Voviology after the departure of his father, Venerable Master, at the end of 1995. Since his leadership the seed that was planted by Venerable Master across the continents has sprouted. More seeds are now planted, and many more will continue to sprout.
Voviology is present across the globe and its ideology has slowly permeated into people’s daily lives. Voviology influences and changes people in living a more effective and well-rounded life by preserving moral values. Through the knitting of strong moral values, a stronger and safe society can slowly emerged within different communities. Through the Grand Teacher’s leadership, progression of a World Religions and Cultural Museum are currently in development. Furthermore, a Voviology Academy will also be commenced in the near future in order to provide understanding and applications of Voviology.
The Grand Teacher’s ideology to bring the common points of all Religions for the purpose of promotion of World Peace is beyond spectacular. Such developments will be the first in the United States and the World.
Such mindfulness and wisdom required proper training and strategic guidance during his childhood development. The Grand Teacher was the fourth child of Venerable Master and Pham Hieu Nghia. He was born on September 3, 1964 with a given name, Chau Nhat Tan (New Sun for the Continents). At a young age, the Grand Teacher was already gifted and possessed unique skills that are uncommon among children of his age. His skills were developed, strengthened, and nurtured through careful guidance of Venerable Master.
By the age of 3, the Grand Teacher demonstrated creative talents in drawing and painting.
By the age of 4, the Grand Teacher started demonstrating skills in organizations and military disciplines. His collections include bottle-caps from different brands and colors. These caps were applied as symbolisms of soldiers, troops, generals, countries and anything that relates to military disciplines. It is like a chest game, but at much higher strategic level. Instead of focusing on one opponent, it involved multiple opponents and allies. The Grand Teacher would often hide himself in a room upstairs and strategize different methods of organization and placement tactics. Every set-up would take days or even weeks to complete. These techniques were applied into practical use and were taught to many of his later disciples to strengthen their organization skills.
By the age of 6, the Grand Teacher took his expedition on martial art. His commencement started with the art of Shaolin. He was fortunate to have learned this martial art form from Venerable Master. During that period of time, Venerable Master was a head master of Han Bai Duong, a popular branch of Shaolin. By 8 years old, Venerable Master allowed the Grand Teacher to extend his art to Judo.
By the age of 8, the Grand Teacher has mastered the performances of many musical instruments. He continued with music for two years and stopped learning music at the age of 10. With only two years of musical experiences he was able to flourish beautiful lyrics and music that touch the hearts of its listeners. His music illuminates the shade of life with a new light, a new path, and a heart-ache that awakens us from our sleep.
By the age of 11, the Grand Teacher started studying Herbology and Eastern medicine. He was the youngest person among his lassmates. His motivation was enforced with the sight of his grandmother being ill, his family under hardship after the Vietnam War, and limited medical support. His thoughts were, “My grandmother is old and what if she fell ill or any members of my family? How will I be able to help them?” Based on the care of love for his family his new journey on learning Eastern medicine started. He was the youngest student of his class and he was also the youngest acupuncturist in his area. The Grand Teacher would go to different areas of the city where poverty was problematic to help heal the sick after his daily schooling.
The Grand Teacher was further fortunate to be educated and guided by many of Venerable Master’s students throughout his childhood development. Many of Venerable Master’s students are influential and are the top in their areas of expertise. The HORIZONS of knowledge were taught by Physicians, Professors, Military officials, and etc. Overall, he was given opportunities and encouragement as a child to learn fromthe best which enabled him to study in many areas including: Astrology, Feng Shui, Astronomy, Music, Martial Arts, Military disciplines, naval navigation…and etc.
During several InterViews with Venerable Master’s disciples, many have mentioned that the Grand Teacher was carefully trained by his father. The standards set by Venerable Master for the Grand Teacher was high in comparison to his other children. The way he eat, sleep, walk, speak, including his facial expression and thoughts were monitored by Venerable Master. The Grand Teacher often got scolded by Venerable Master on these daily matters. Everything must be proper; whereas such training was not expected from Venerable Master’s other children.
The Grand Teacher’s mother had commented to him on one occasion, “You were a gifted child and your ways of thinking then scared me. Our family is only an ordinary family and to have a gifted son like you worries me.”
At the age of 20, he left Vietnam in search for a new beginning. Before his final destination in America he first arrived in Indonesia. There he continued to show his extraordinary skills and leadership in the following activities:
- English interpreter for the High Commissioner of the United Nations and the International Medical Delegation.

A pro-founding event of Voviology history was that he started circulation of the Voviology Journal. His circulation experience was earned from working at the Los Angeles Times nightly during his student years. Here he learned organizational skills and management skills in relations to publishing. His job helped him realized that circulation of a journal would be an effective method in helping disciples to learn and exchange information. The first journal issue was circulated in 1988. It started out as a “one man job” and now a whole department has been established. The Voviology Journal is currently circulating in 5 different languages across the globe.
At the age of 26, from a capital of $300 that was advanced from his credit card, he was able to build a multi-million dollar company. The company was named Chau Modern Product and here he used his skills and knowledge in Eastern Medicine to produce and manufacture herbal medicines according to FDA guidelines. Within a year after the commencement of Chau Modern Product, employment reached over 2000 people world-wide. His products became very well known and accepted by different communities across the world. The company also helped the local government in providing jobs for unemployment that is in search for work.
However, before Venerable Master passing he had told the Grand Teacher to close down the business. The Grand Teacher did not comprehend the reasons behind Venerable Master’s order, but without question he followed. Several months later Venerable Master passed away and announced the Grand Teacher as his first successor.
The Grand Teacher never thought that he would lead Voviology. What he had in mind was to make effective changes to help his people, but now instead he is working on lighting the path for the world to salvation. A student once asked him, “Dear teacher is leading Voviology a more difficult task than leading a government?” The Grand Teacher mentioned that leading people spiritually and integrating awareness into people’s heart are more difficult. In a government you have support and power, but in spiritual leadership there is only one. There is no support or power. Only a righteous heart and sincere faith will help you through.
At the age of 30, the Grand Teacher officially led Voviology. There were no formal operational systems during Venerable Master’s time. The Grand Teacher had donated 10 years of his work in the following developments:
- Conglomerated all past teachings of the Venerable Master.
- Started publishing books to help increase learning and understanding of the Voviology practice and concept.
- Systemize and theorize the ideology of Voviology
- Re-organization of the Voviology operational systems, making it more precise and comprehensible.
- Formation and regulation of the Voviology Constitution and Laws
- The commencement of the Voviology website, new publications, and broadcasting are made available to the public. Currently, more than 200 multilingual books and journals have been published and many set tasks have been completed.
- Proposal of Voviology City
- Proposal of World Religions and Cultural Museum
- Proposal of Voviology Academy
- Performed many healing miracles
The Grand Teacher commented after an interview that within the next 10 years (2006-2007) the Voviology World Religions and Cultural museum will be completed. Through this accomplishment the main focus of the museum is to draw out the common point of all religions, and through this harmony and peace can be established. He also mentioned that the Voviology Academy will also be completed within this segment of time. Students from across the globe will be selected to attend the academy. Here formal training and application of Voviology theories will be provided for students. Selective students will be given a chance to earn accredited degrees.
The formal teachings will be taught by influential expertise who have already earned not only teaching credentials, but also have graduated from the Academy itself. This will prevent future nonconforming teachings and false assumptions of leadership.
Under the leadership of the Grand Teacher, the light of Voviology has become brighter. More and more beings are now able to see the light and accessibility to the practice are more readily available. With the love from our benevolent father and Venerable Master we are thankful and blessed to be lead by the Grand Teacher’s great compassion and leadership to salvation.
