Grafiti
"Grafiti" is a transcendent electronic music group that was formed in 2007 by "Leama" and "James Davis". The duo are popular in the dance music scene for their "progressive house" and "Techno" productions. Their tracks are regularly played by well-known DJs, such as Sasha, "John Digweed", "Nick Warren" and "Sander Kleinenberg".
Biography
Leama, known for producing underground hits on labels such as Perfecto Records, Sony Music and "Hooj Choons" and as one half of "Leama & Moor", achieved success in June 2006 with the album Common Ground and has now teamed up with talented UK-based DJ–producer and promoter James Davis.
Already the pair have remixed the classic "Three Drives - Greece 2000", "Jose Gonzales - Deadweight on Velvetine", new indie-folk band 'The Steals' and the massive UK act "Hybrid". Their remix of "Hybrid - The Formula of Fear", which showcases their more techno side of production, has been receiving major support from some of the worlds leading DJs including John Digweed, Nick Warren and Sander Kleinenberg. This is due for release on "Distinctive Records" in October 2008.
Original material includes: "Grafiti - 'Ghettoech", "The Steals vs Grafiti - Sinner" and the forthcoming summer smash, "Grafiti - Fascinated". "Grafiti - 'Ghettoech" made it onto "Markus Shultz's - Amsterdam 08" compilation "Ghettotech" see's a superb remix from "D-DUB", which has been gaining support from the likes of "John Digweed", "Dave Seaman" and "Way Out West". "The Steals vs Grafiti - Sinner" was also been picked up by "Cyber Records" and their original mix is one of the illustrious gems that has recently made it onto "Nick Warren's" new "Global Underground" compilation "LIMA". With a "Pierce remix" in the waiting, "Sinner" is eagerly anticipated and expected to cause a stir amongst electronic music lovers across the world. Grafiti's "Fascinated", considered by the few select Dj's who have it as their biggest single to date, has been picked up by "Little Mountain Records" and will feature an exclusive remix by the Dutch house master himself, "Sander Kleinenberg". "Fascinated" not only proved to be the biggest record of their Xmas–New Years 2007 tour but also undeniably became the biggest track in the current "Turn the Table" global warming events, which raises awareness about global warming through electronic music. Grafiti were chosen as residents to front the campaign amongst other well-known acts including, BT, Richie Hawtin, and DJ Rap.
The duo have just completed their latest remix of the Sasha classic, "Aquilla - Dreamstate", which fuses their lush journey sound-scapes, over a tech-based groove and once again resulting in yet another dance floor rocker. This is due for release on "Northern Exposure" later on in the year.
