Grace Mount Residential School

Grace Mount Residential School (affiliated to the CBSE board) is a secondary co-educational institution located in Kumbanad, Thiruvalla, Kerala and has classes from playschool to standard X.

It was established in 1992 under the management of the Grace Mount Christian Service Society (GMCSS), which is registered under the 12th Travancore-Cochin Literature Science and Societies Act of 1955. GMCSS is a charitable trust established in 1985, managed by the Founder and Chairman, O. A. Ninan.

The school setup is that of an ideal school, situated in a homely ambiance. Grace Mount gets its name by virtue of being located atop a hill in a serene environment, with a spectacular aerial view of the surrounding landscape up to 10 km from the school summit.

Syllabus

We follow the syllabus prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi and have classes from LKG to secondary level.

Examinations

Monthly tests, Mid term examination and terminal examinations, formative assessment (FA) and summative assessment (SA) are held regularly and the all around development of the students will be monitored through continuous evaluation. The progress report is sent to the parents in time and the promotion is based on the marks scored in various tests and examinations held during the year.

Campus Discipline

School uniform is compulsory for all students. Entry and exit of the students and all other persons will be strictly monitored. Violators will be subjected to strict disciplinary actions including dismissal.

Smart Classes

We have installed Smart Learning Classrooms for all the students as part of implementing ICT (Information Communication Technology) enabled learning. The digital Smart Learn classrooms have fully mapped CBSE curriculum software from KG to 10th standard.

The school has a well stocked library with Audio-Visual facilities. The library has a good collection of books in various subjects.
