Government Institute of Medical Sciences

Government Institute of Medical Sciences or GIMS (known as Manyawar Kanshiram Multi-speciality Hospital) is an upcoming medical college, adjacent to Gautam Buddha University in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. The Uttar Pradesh government had decided to convert the Kanshi Ram Multi-speciality Hospital into a medical institute.

The hospital started as Medical University, Greater Noida on 2nd April 2013 with facility of OPD only. It started with 12 specialist doctors of UP Medical and Health Services.

Dr Arun Kumar Bhatt was the Project Director.

Dr Vijay Deepak Verma was the first C M S of the hospital.

Later in 2015 the name changed to Government Institute of Medical Sciences.

The academic session was planned to start from 2016 with its campus in Gautam Buddha University but did not start because of lack of Medical Council of India (MCI) approval.

Dr Sangeeta Aneja is the first Director of the Institute.

Dr. Indra Singh is the present C.M.S of the institute.

The hospital campus was designed by the Noida-based architectural firm Vastunidhi.
