Government College Solan
A Government Post Graduate College in, Solan, Himachal Pradesh.
Govt. College, Solan was established on 19th August 1959 and is situated in 47 Bighas of land to cater to the needs of higher education of Solan district and the surrounding areas in the state of Himachal Pradesh. It was started in a Private building near the Present D.C. Office, Solan. Initially the College had strength of AbOUT 150 students in the faculty of Arts. Faculty of Science and Commerce were added on later on.
History
Government College Solan was established on 19 August 1959. It was started in the private building near the present DC Office Solan with the faculty of Arts, faculty Science and Commerce were added on leter on. In 1964 College was shifted to its current permanent location.
