Mezgo's early years

The company Mezgo Investors is Mexican, and was owned by Gonzalo Manuel Gómez y Matínez de Escobar, who also owned the soft drink brands Chaparritas El Naranjo and Sangria Señorial, among others. Mezgo Group began operating in 1937, and its first business was selling pineapple juice in bulks. Ten years later, the company founded by Manuel Gómez Cosío (his father) began to bottle the pineapple drinks, under the brand El Naranjo.
