Glenn M. Johnson

Founder of Adaptive Lighting and Controls, Glenn Johnson has illuminated some of the worlds most exclusive and prestigious estate homes, art galleries, country clubs and private museums in the world.

He is also the author of "The Art of Illumination," which is the first lighting design and engieering book of its kind. It is used in 18 colleges and universities. Published by McGraw-Hill in Fall 1998, it encapsulates over 20 years of lighting design practice, procedures, products, presentation, and documentation. In addition, the book showcases the Adaptive Method which articulates Glenn Johnson's trademark artistic and precise lighting design approach.

He also published a quarterly magazine called "Lighting and Control" (Harris Publishing) focused on the custom residential market in lighting design and lighting control.

With 27 years of experience and also an award-winning designer, Glenn M. Johnson is a recognized expert in the field of lighting design. He holds four U.S. patents for specialty architectural lighting products. Several of his articles describing the art and science of illumination have been published in a myriad of newspapers and industry magazines, including Architectural Digest, Architectural Record, House & Garden, Designers West, Luxury Living, Utah Style and Design, Connoisseur and the Robb Report have featured more than 50 of Mr. Johnson's projects.
