Giles Meade

A sketch of Giles Meade published in The Saturday Blade, March 25, 1905.

Giles Meade, described as an "all-around prophet" in the early 1900s, had supposedly made predictions of future times since he was a child. His weather reports were what he was most known for, but his predictions branched off into many different subjects.

Predictions

  • On July 26, 1976, the sun will lose its power of attraction for the lesser astral bodies. The earth will go hurling through space, but where the human beings existing on the earth will end up is unknown. Underneath the bounds of space, there is a solid rock floor where the earth will collide, and spread its fragments over the universe.
  • On September 19, 1905, the downfall of the Russian empire due to the assassination of its head and the court.
  • On January 28, 1926, England will depose its king and adopt a constitution similar to the United States.
  • Beginning on June 23, 1926, "an international war in which the United States will participate will be inaugurated in the bombardment of London by an allied fleet of France, Germany, Spain and Holland." The United States will stand with England, and in the end will be the victorious countries.
