History
Headquartered in Columbus, Gifthealth was founded in 2020 by Nick Potts and John Romano.
Early investors included Allos Ventures, Freestyle Capital, Bossa Invest, Mucker Capital, Hypothesis Studio, and Strategxy Ventures. In March 2023, Eir Partners, a Miami-based private equity firm specializing in healthcare technology investments, acquired a majority stake in Gifthealth for $40 million.
Occam Health Acquisition
On September 2, 2025, Gifthealth announced its acquisition of Occam Health Services, a patient support services company based in Sterling, Virginia. Following the acquisition, the combined entity reported serving more than Six million patients annually across 20 pharmaceutical brands and engaging with over 175,000 prescribers across multiple medical specialties.
