GLN}} Gide Loyrette Nouel is an international law firm founded in Paris in 1957 by Pierre Gide, Jean Loyrette and Philippe Nouel. Gide has its head office located in Paris and has offices in various countries. The Firm operates under different legal structures, notably a Limited liability partnership (LLP) in the United Kingdom and an Association d'avocats à responsabilité professionnelle individuelle (AARPI - Association of lawyers with individual professional liability) in France.

History

Founded in 1920, Gide is the first and leading international business law firm of French origin. In 2026, it brings together over 500 lawyers and paralegals covering 35 different nationalities –including +100 partners.

True to its founding father's vision - Pierre Gide, a French lawyer admitted to the London Bar -, Gide has always striven to push back frontiers to seek international development. In 1957, Pierre Gide, Jean Loyrette and Philippe Nouel founded the first lawyers' association. Ten years later, the Firm opened its first office abroad, in Brussels.

Governance

The Firm is headed by a Executive committee, currently made up of Frédéric Nouel, Senior Partner, and Jean-François Levraud, Managing Partner, in their second term. Also elected by their peers, three other partners complete the management team: Franck Audran, Jean-Gabriel Flandrois and Laetitia Lemercier
