Biography

Giacomo Vose was born in Selargius, a comune in Sardinia, Italy. He studied Electronic Engineering at the University of Pisa. He began his career working in hardware and software design for the automation and automotive industries. He later joined Arduino, the open-source electronics platform, where he served as a business development manager.

At Arduino, he played a key role in expanding the company’s operation across Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas, with a focus on educational and humanitarian innovation. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he led an international technology task force. His team collaborated with institutions such as NASA and the University of Oxford to develop emergency ventilator solutions. He also worked with MSC Cruises to implement on-board health-safety technology, including contact-tracing systems.

In 2022, Vose co-founded the tech startup Wishew LTD alongside Antonino Risicato and Vincenzo De Caro. On 29 April 2024, it launched its social-crowdfunding application "Wishew" on World Wish Day in the U.S. The platform allows users to post short video “wishes,” which others can support financially, combining crowdfunding and social media. In its early growth phase, Wishew raised a significant pre-seed funding round of about €10 million, backed by LMDV Capital.

By mid-2025, it had expanded to multiple international markets, including the U.K., Canada, Australia, and Italy. Wishew also announces its plan to expand into North Africa, South America, and the Middle East.
